The book of Ephesians is one of Paul’s prison epistles that he wrote while he was a prisoner in Rome which scholars believe was around 61-63 AD. The others being Philippians, Philemon, and Colossians

  • Paul establish the church at Ephesus in his 2nd missionary journey.

  • It was a very wealthy city community, and the predominate religious deity was the goddess Diana.
  • Paul eventually places his son in the faith Timothy as pastor  (1 Timothy 1:3)
