The Word of God (Bible)
The Bible is the main way that God speaks to humans. In the Bible, God informs us that he always wanted to have a relationship with us and shows how Adam’s sin of disobedience separates man from God. In addition, the Bible explains God’s love for us and how he sent His son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that all that who believe in Him can have eternal life (Living forever with God in Heaven). The Bible is also key in conveying to the world how God desires for man to live, and the consequences of living a sinful life (Eternal Separation From God in Hell).
Life’s circumstance (Consequences of Sin)
As we go through life, sometimes as a result of sinful actions, we experience the consequences of sin. These consequences are not pleasant and often lead us to think, wish, and wonder what could I have done differently to not be in this situation. It is during those times that I believe that God can speak to us to inform us that there is a better way. This better way is living a life of fear and reverence to Him.
Christian believers (Their life Style and Words of Encouragement)
Christain believers should be examples of what a follower of God should be and they should point people to put their faith in God. God uses these interactions as a way to speak others through their example in lifestyle, their personal testimonies, and their encouragement to align their lives to the Word of God.
Our Thoughts
Have you ever heard someone say, or experienced saying yourself, “man I was thinking I should do this or that” , or “something was telling me to do this or that”? I believe God uses experiences like this to speak to humans for direction, guidance, and conviction of sin.
While some claim to have heard God’s audible voice, I personally have not heard anything audible. I’m not saying that this can’t happen, but I do believe that the ways mentioned above are the more common ways that God speaks to us.
