APOLOGETICS – We Must Know What We Believe

Do You Know What You Believe?

This question is one that every question should stop and ask themselves. I am sadden to say that most people who say that they are born again believers can not adequately defend their faith. It is for this reason we are beginning a new series entitled “Apologetics”.

What Is Apologetics?

Apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia, which means “speaking in defense”. In terms of our Christian faith, apologetics is the study and practice of defending out faith.

1 Peter 3:15, informs us that we as the children of God should be prepared to provide answers concerning what we believe why we place our hope in Jesus Christ.

As we go through this series, we will deal with questions that many people struggle with concerning origin, meaning, morality, and destiny.

Conclusion

As we begin our study, there will always be questions we just do not know the answer to, but we should have basic biblical knowledge concerning the scriptures of what we believe and the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. This study is so important and I encourage you to follow us during this series and to study with us. It is God’s desire that we be his ambassadors and as such we must know what we believe.
